Hatha Yoga is a complete system of health care. Its actual aim through all the practices is to heal and create physical, mental and emotional health in the body and mind to prepare for and support Meditation. Each practice has a specific effect on the body, mind, emotions and subtle energies. Specific practices are beneficial for certain types of physical, mental and emotional conditions and health. It is important to attend Classes for sometime and learn Yoga from an experienced teacher. Then for Yoga or Yoga Therapy to be its most beneficial it is important to have a practice (sadhana) specific to your own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. Emma's experience enables her suggest very specific yoga / meditation practices for you, whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner. She can create a Yoga and or Meditation practice (sadhana) that will help you to heal, develop and transform on all levels according to your need. Although running regular classes for those who like to attend when they can, she likes to focus on individual private instruction / training or small private groups, with a limited number of sessions, because the emphasis is on helping you develop and establish a practice (sadhana) that you can do without distraction, quietly, in your own space, and on a regular basis. This will then enable you to truly experience, understand and gain the benefits of Yoga / Meditation.

After self practice has been established further sessions can be taken to develop your practice and self further step by step.

An understanding and experience, of the more esoteric practices of Yoga such as Meditation, Mantra, Chakra Awareness, Kriya Yoga and Karma Yoga is encouraged to deepen your understanding of the true potential of Yoga of which Hatha Yoga is a very small part. Private Yoga/Meditation Sessions

Personal training / instruction according to your need and requirement in Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha, Yoga Nidra and Meditation. With spiritual guidance and advise on specific Yoga and or Meditation practices to create a daily practice (sadhana) for the individual depending on physical and if required mental, emotional and spiritual need. This is beneficial for beginners to help them focus on practices more suitable to the needs of their own body and develop a foundation of continuity in their practice and for more advanced practitioners to help deepen their practice unfolding deeper self awareness to awaken consciousness and potential in a careful and safe way.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga is a complete system of health care. Its aim through all the practices is to heal and create physical, mental and emotional health in the body and mind. Specific practices are beneficial for certain types of physical, mental and emotional conditions. In a therapy session advice, training and instruction in specific practices will be given to help with any physical, mental, emotional issues or conditions you may have, creating a practice that you can continue for yourself at home for your own healing.

yoga classes

For beginners , or those with physical injuries, the systematic approach of Satyananda/Bihar Yoga is extremely suitable for beginners as the physical practices initially focus on gently removing tension and blocked energy from the joints, muscles, and organs, to safely prepare the body and mind for more advanced practices. The class is 1.5hrs of Asana- 1hr, Pranayama-10mins, Mudra, Bandha and Yoga Nidra-20 mins (Deep Relaxation)
For Intermediate and Advanced Practitioners ,to develop a deeper and more subtle awareness of the body mind experience through Asana-45 mins, Pranayama -15mins, Mudra, Bandha, Meditation -10mins and Yoga Nidra-20mins.
Pre & Post Natal, depending on the stage of pregnancy the beginers class is suitable and is extremely suitable for post natal recovery.

Yoga Workshops / Courses

Yoga Programmes

A regular programme of attendance for Yoga/Meditation Sessions to cover the practices and aspects of Yoga you wish and I can suggest to suit your need and budget.
